15 years of BEGE: an exclusive look into its celebration

SoloAzar spoke with Natalia Baevska, Project Manager at BEGE & EEGS, who shared the insights into the organization and highlights of the 15th anniversary of the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE) exhibition, empathizing why it has become a must-attend event on the Gaming industry calendar.

Held from November 26 to 27 in Sofia, Bulgaria, BEGE welcomed over 6.700 visitors. According to Natalia, attendes “had the opportunity to connect with our well-known exhibitors while also discovering exciting new companies showcasing for the very first time”.

- Could you describe the main novelties and achievements of this edition of the event, commemorating its 15th anniversary?

One of the standout highlights was the return of our Gaming StartUP Challenge, now in its 6th edition, which had been on hiatus for a few years. This event successfully fostered innovation and provided a platform for emerging talent in the gaming industry.

Another exciting feature was the Proximity Zone, which garnered significant attention this year. It included live-streamed interviews, allowing those who couldn't attend in person to get an insider's look at the BEGE experience.

Additionally, the EEGS presented a line-up of brand new speakers and topics that captivated our audience, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Overall, this year's event was a fantastic celebration, blending tradition with innovation and providing a platform for both established and emerging voices in the industry.

- What were the factors that consolidated BEGE as a reference event in Europe?

BEGE has solidified its position as a reference event in Europe due to several key factors. First and foremost, its consistent commitment to innovation and quality has attracted a diverse range of exhibitors and participants over the years, allowing us to showcase the latest trends and technologies in the gaming and entertainment sectors.

Additionally, the event has cultivated a strong reputation for providing valuable networking opportunities. By bringing together industry leaders, decision-makers, and new talents, BEGE has become a pivotal platform for forging partnerships and collaborations that drive industry growth.

- The choice to include key discussions on the future of gaming within the industry on an international level provided great value. What other plans do you have to integrate into future editions of EEGS?

We remain dedicated to staying ahead of the curve by focusing on the hottest topics for EEGS. As we look to future editions, we will continue to emphasize key discussions around the future of gaming on an international scale.

Given the success of our existing panel discussions and roundtable formats, we plan to further enhance these opportunities for audience engagement to ensure meaningful interactions among attendees and speakers.

Additionally, we recognize the growing importance of affiliate marketing in the gaming industry. To that end, we are excited to incorporate more affiliate-related topics into the conference agenda, especially since we host a dedicated affiliate conference as an accompanying event. This will allow us to delve deeper into strategies, best practices, and new developments in the affiliate realm, providing added value for our participants.

To conclude the interview, Natalia expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event: sponsors, visitors, partners, and friends. She also pointed out the significance of BEGE in the European gaming scene for professionals and enthusiasts “solidifying its role as a must-attend occasion that everyone should include on their calendars”. Looking into the future, Natalia encouraged everyone to “stay tuned for exciting updates and announcements coming soon through our web site and Social media channels”, to keep everyone informed and engaged.

“We eagerly anticipate seeing you again in 2025 for another incredible edition of BEGE!”, added the Project Manager at BEGE & EEGS, Natalia Baevska.
